Deshadan came into being in 2000 with Deshadan Tours and Travels which promoted outbound tourism to Maldives and Srilanka. The success and recognition that came in a span of just 4 years prompted Deshadan to foray into resorts resulting in establishment of Deshadan Mountain Resort, Kerala's highest mountain resort in Munnar in the year 2004. One year later in 2005, Chettinadu Mansion, the heritage palace of the erstwhile Chettiyars was opened to offer a privileged and gracious retreat. This was followed by the opening of a beach resort, Deshadan Cliff & Beach Resort in the picturesque Varkala and a houseboat division in paradisiacal Alappuzha in 2008. The year 2010 saw Deshadan opened an Chettinadu Court, a village resort in Chettinadu and in 2012 deshadan opened and exquisite property on the banks of the mighty Vembanadu lake named Deshadan Backwater Resort, and in 2017 Deshadan has glued itself to nature with our new property on the foot hills of western ghat , at Kanthaloor,and pure eco friendly built, With mud,rocks, wood and hay.
